ACknowledgement of Country

Since 2017, Make Loud Noise has made it’s home at Red Star Music, “the first choice for local and touring musicians rehearsing in Brisbane for over 20 years”. The Make Loud Noise Studio is nestled between the snaking bends of the Euoggera (Enoggera) Creek in the Mayne Railway Yard Industrial District of Barrambin (Bowen Hills) so we can truly make loud noises unapologetically! Euoggera is a derivation of the Aboriginal word, “Yau’ar-nga’ri, meaning literally, sing-play, or song and dance, referring to a corroboree ground”. The place of Barrambin was historically the corroboree grounds of Turrbal people’s whose cultural practices were disrupted by colonisation. Make Loud Noise acknowledges the Turrbal people as the Traditional Custodians of Barrambin as it is their lands on which the Make Loud Noise Studio is located and where we meet, work, make music, learn, and dream.
